To better tackle projects lined up, here are my expectations for the month of May.

Whether the set goals are accomplished or not is not the important part.

Thanks to one of my best friends, I’ve developed habitual planning. She gifted me a planner I set out to use. For the past three years, I have been planning out at least a month’s work. I believe it helps with productivity when something is lined up. Whether the set goals are accomplished or not is not the important part.

Since becoming more aware of projects I want to focus on, this habit has enabled me to keep up with ideas. It’s become easier to distinguish the thoughts that were either locked inside my mind or scattered across a multitude of papers.

It’s also enabled me to actually have a schedule.

And that’s the most amazing part about having a planner.

Some months don’t work out.

Some months don’t work out but that’s bound to happen. We can’t expect to have a perfect month let alone multiples.

Through the years I’ve learned the less permanent a goal is set the better.

Instead of writing directly on the monthly parts of the planner, I’ve taken to using post its. It enables me to adjust my schedule and plans whenever needed.

The importance of setting goals and having the ability to adjust for optimum success is limiting chances of high anxiety and stress.

After all, that is the ultimate goal.

Despite all these precautions, I have this nagging feeling that I’ll definitely be stressed this month as I have a long list of things to do.

So, without dragging this any further, here are my expectations for the month of May!

A short but thorough list.

Blog Posts.

I would like to be able to keep up with posting blogs at least once a week. I believe this can be do-able as I have much to say. The tougher aspect is sitting down to write it.

May Art Challenge: MerMay

This month there’s another month art challenge called MerMay. I would love to participate for every day of the month but I’m really only looking to do ten pieces this time around. With the exceptions of May 02 and 06, I plan to follow the calendar above.

At the end of the month, I would like to look back at what I was able to do and what I wasn’t. MerMay will most likely be the focus of the month.

Other plans.

I’ve been meaning to get back into writing and I played around with this last month. Semi-successfully, I was able to set out time to actually write. I sat down and wrote as much as I could plus more.

Realistically speaking, an equivalent amount of writing would be nice this month as well. If I end up writing more then that’s icing on my cake (I’m not an icing fan though).

Patreon. Soft-launch.

The last bit of this month’s goal is launching my Patreon for the simple sake of launching the page before their policy changes. But it is a goal as it needs to be done.

I will do an official soft-launch announcement when I get to this.

So far this is what I have:
